If your residential air conditioning system both heats and cools your house, you must maintain it in spring and the fall season each year. If it is only for cooling objective you must get it checked at least once a year before the season requiring cooling starts.

Check the air conditioning units

With the support of a technician, you can inspect the full system for an ample level of the refrigerant, cleaning the debris from the within the cabinet, clear the drain opening, clean the coil and examine the fan blades and the motor for a visible sign of wear and year. You must also examine the control box, other matched accessories including connections and networks. It is advisable to make sure all the electrical units are functioning safely and rightly. Inspect the ac units

Clear the blower motor and wheels, and offer lubrication to the motor if very important. If any faulty functioning is observed, change that party quickly. You must check the combustion blower for debris and dirt-free it. Checking gas leaks from furnaces is also vital to make sure a right functioning ac unit. If your system also has heating feature, you should also examine the ignition system and other safety elements. You should check the flue system is rightly linked to the furnace, look for sign of decay for any dislocated element. Then you clean the air filter and check the wiring connections. A full inspection for the energy efficient air conditioning system is also vital to find out if there is any leakage in the airflow system.

Check the system while it is operating

When you switch the system on, look for its beginning features and notice if there is any abnormality. You can get a hint of the noise it makes when switched on. You must also look for any unusual smell that comes with switching to the system. You can check the temperature and adjust the airflow according to the level wanted.
